New series time – Ane-Comi
October 25th, 2009 Posted in Ane Comi, MBT, MangaThere’s a new manga out by the mangaka of Midori no Hibi, and I thought it was good. So, since every other time I’ve tried to beat people to the punch went so well, I thought I’d try again… >.<;;
Don't wanna spoil this, so just download and read it!

I got it back from the translation checker, and I was gonna edit it this weekend, but this came up. I will start working on editing it tomorrow…

I swear, if this is good and so far, most stuff from this guy is good, I’ll support you any way I can if you could keep a steady release on this man. Just email me if you need something

Oh god, this is good even though its borderline incest… then again, this is the same guy who came up with Aoi Destruction.

What we need is more staff… The workflow is like this:
1) Transcribing the chapter – I don’t know enough kanji off the top of my head to just read it straight, so I just write the whole chapter in a text file. This also makes it easier for the translation checker later, since he doesn’t have to look anything up.
2) Translate the chapter
3) Translation check
4) Edit the chapter (sometimes combined with #2 above, since I’m the only editor). This makes the transcribing in the text doc even more important, since the translation checker can’t see what was originally there.
5) Quality check
6) Release
We need reliable people who can do any of 1-4. Heck, if someone really knew their kanji and just wanted to do #1, it’d save me a boatload of time. I’m steadily getting faster at doing it, as I learn new kanji, but I’m still quite slow. Of the projects we have right now, suspiria translates Shiroi Gekkou and I edit it. For Miman Ren’ai, Hiiragi Love Club, and now Ane-Comi, I transcribe, translate, and do the editing. I’m not complaining about the amount of work involved, but there’s only so many free hours to go around.
Having said that, the track record is that even when people do come and ask to help out, they typically do 1 or 2 chapters (if that), and then they disappear. And they don’t bother to let you know they’re disappearing, so you waste even more time waiting to see if they’ll show back up. So if you feel like you’re this type of person, it’s best to not come ‘help’ us…

ah… that sucks man. I can only identify katakana, hiragana and some of the easy kanji. But figuring out the sentence, yeah, I gotta look up that shit up on sites and stuff since I don’t what most words means you know.

Well, I wasn’t addressing you directly… More like using your post as a springboard to jump into a recruitment pitch.
Thanks for replying, though… Just drink one in honor of us or something…

I really love this author’s work, and this one doesn’t disappoint! Looking forward to more of this.
